Ram Heavy Duty
On the “party in front” count, the Ram Heavy Duty also comes in a trio of cab styles.
Let’s say you have bigger-than-average playthings: a party-central patio boat, a stable of horses or maybe a fifth-wheel trailer the size of a small condo. Well, you should know that the 2019 Ram Heavy Duty (HD) will make short work of whatever business needs to get done.
Available in 2,500- and 3,500-pound weight ratings with a six-foot, four-inch short bed or an eight-foot long bed, this full-size Ram will haul nearly eight tons of whatever you’ve got that needs hauling. That’s to say nothing of its ability to tow trailers up to a truly mind-boggling 35,100 pounds.
On the “party in front” count, the Ram Heavy Duty also comes in a trio of cab styles, including our test truck’s huge Mega Cab that offers a shindig-sized rear-seat space. In addition to offering plenty of elbowroom, the interior is remarkably quiet and can be fitted out with luxury car-like amenities, including adaptive cruise control, a surround-view camera setup and a center-mounted 12-inch reconfigurable touchscreen.
In the final measure, the Ram Heavy Duty is a little like a warehouse that’s been converted into a nightclub: built for practical purposes, it proves to be every bit as adept at showing folks a good time.
